This one is all about fun.

The Halloween Costume Hike is a laid-back, community-first adventure designed for all experience levels. We’ll keep the pace relaxed, the vibes high, and the costumes creative as we head out on a short out-and-back trail together.

This year, we’re bringing it back to the basics with costume contest prizes and other fun ways to win along the way.

No pressure. No performance. Just show up and enjoy it.

Event Overview

The Quarry Trail is an approachable route with gentle elevation and plenty of room to walk, talk, and take photos. We’ll hike together, turn around as a group, and wrap things up with prize announcements and good energy back at the trailhead.

Costumes are encouraged, but keep them trail-friendly and safe to move in.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable walking or trail shoes

  • A costume you can safely hike in

  • Water

  • Light layers (October afternoons can cool quickly)

  • A small backpack if needed

  • A leash if bringing a dog

Props, creativity, and commitment to the costume are highly encouraged.

Good to Know

  • This is an easy, inclusive hike. Great for first-timers

  • Costumes should allow for safe walking and visibility

  • Dogs must remain on leash at all times

  • Leave No Trace still applies… even in costume
